In 2011 my best friend dragged me to Cachette du Bootlegger, a homebrew shop in the West Island of Montreal. We challenged each other to a “who can brew the best beer?” competition and sampled our bottle conditioned brews amongst friends later that summer.
That year I went backpacking in Thailand, where I had an epiphany: this is what I wanted to do. The hobby became an obsession. And finally, a career. My passion for the brewing industry is only matched by my love for business and in 2018 I was finally able to bring them both together.
It is my personal mission to continue to change the world of beer for the better, brining quality products to Montreal and beyond.
St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout – I remember being skeptical of dark beers before this one. Hard to imagine that now but the balance behind this award winning, local product is still among the top.
Favorite Beer Styles
I love a little of everything! I select my beers depending on my mood. My preference is for pale ales, stouts and strong Belgian ales.
Santropol Roulant – I’ve supported them for many years because of their amazing concept. My family did charity work with them throughout my youth; I worked in both the kitchen and delivered food to the less fortunate on my bike. My goal is to incorporate a similar contribution to the community through the brewery.
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective – Can’t even count the number of times I’ve watched this movie. The joy and laughter from Jim Carrey’s early years of cinema will be with me forever. Sometime life needs a little ridiculousness amongst all the seriousness.
